LENONG and BARONG

        Once upon a time, in the small village there was a family. In there, that was a beautiful girl, the name was Lenong Baritong. Lenong was a lazy girl but, she was a clever and kind girl in there village.

          One morning, her dad asked her to cooked some food for having breakfast. He said “nongg, would you help me to make breakfast for us?”. Then, lenong said “hoaammm, dad I’m still sleepy dad”. “lenong, you’re a girl ! Don’t be lazy!” said her dad again. “hoamm… dad but I’m so sleepy now, wait a minute”. “okee I will wait for you just 1 more minute” said her dad again.

          After that, Lenong did her task from her dad for cooking breakfast. “dad, here it is,lets taste my food” her dad said “honey I think its better for you to always practice cooking something” Lenong said again “that means this is a bad food right?” then, her dad said “no, but its too salty ”. “I’m sorry dad, I will give the best food for you” said lenong. “and you must give the best food for your future husband next ” said her dad. Lenong just smile.

          A few years later, and now Lenong was 23 years old. And that’s enough age for her dad to see his child marry with the men who she loved.

          One night, Lenong went to the park and sat alone. Suddenly, one man came to her and sat together. Lenong felt strangely at that time because of him. Then a few minute later, the man started the conversation with Lenong. “It’s a beautiful night right?” said the man . “do you ask me?” ask lenong. “of course, so what else? Just us in this place” the man  replied. “oww, ya I think so, I love to see the star in the night” said Lenong. “uhmm, sorry whats your name? I’m Barong” said Barong. “ I’m Lenong Baritong, hmm sorry I have no time, see you” said Lenong. “ what? she left me alone and she went away?”said Barong.

          Day by day, Lenong was so sad because her dad was sick and docter said that bad something would happen with her dad. One month later, actually her dad was died, and lenong was very sad and cried. “dad, don’t go now!!!! I love you dad!!!! L” said lenong while crying.

          After her dad passed away, Lenong was always alone and suddenly she remembered the moment when her dad said “you must give the best food for your future husband next”. Then, she thought it is better for her to always practice in cooking.

          Barong, actually had fallen in  love with Lenong since at senior high school but, lenong didn’t know with Barong at that time. Barong  just kept his feeling during 5 years. “lenong, I want you know what I’m feeling now” said barong.

          After Lenong met Barong at the park, Lenong suddenly always though about Barong. She didn’t know the reason what could make her always though about him. “why I always think about you?” asked Lenong.

          One night again, Lenomg came again to the park to see the stars on the sky. “where is Barong? I hope you here” said Lenong. And then Barong came, “hello princess!” said Barong. “oww!! Hello long time no see!” Lenong replied. “I always come to this place every night to see you nong..” said Barong. “just see me when I saw the stars in the night?” asked Lenong. “yap! I’m waiting for you every night. Don’t you come  here with your dad?” said Barong. “My dad passed away one month ago” said Lenong. “ohh sorry I don’t know.” said Barong. “oke, never mind, emmm can you sing a song for me?” asked Lenong. Barong couldn’t  sing but, because of his love to Lenong, he did it. “But I can’t sing well” said Barong. “just try it!”said Lenong. “ okee, twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky, twinkle twinkle little star, How I wonder what you are..” Barong sang the twinkle twinkle litte star. “hahhahhahaha you can sing bar!” said Lenong. “but not well, my mom  always said I must be able to sing well because the girl love the boy who can sing well” said Barong. “yaa my dad always said I must be able to cook food well because next time I will have a husband.” said Lenong. “nong, can I ask you something?” asked Barong. “yap, just tell it” said Lenong. “I love you since we were at senior high school, but I was afraid to tell this, would you like to  be my wife?” said Barong. Lenong smiled and said “yes I will”.

          And finally, they got married and lived happily ever after …….
